Sounds of the Cosmos
Swinburne IxD2016 Best Screen Based Interaction Award
Developed with Jose Waihiga
Developed in Max 7, the Sounds of the Cosmos installation presents a stylised universe in which the user uses a motion tracking device to interact with various stellar objects. Utilising a Leap Motion interaction device, the exhibition is controlled using various hand gestures and movements.
The concept for the exhibition was to present the cosmos as a musical instrument where the user is able to select each stellar object and alter the sounds that each object makes.
